DolWin3 Dörpen

The DolWin3 project is an important component of the German energy transition. It serves the low-loss transport of offshore wind energy to consumers on land by means of the high-voltage direct-current transmission method.

The main components are the converter station in Dörpen (Emsland) and the approx. 160 km of cable supply lines from the offshore wind farms to the station.

HANSA has equipped the converter station with the necessary air conditioning and cooling technology. Four supply air units with 80,000 m3/h each and six exhaust air units with 33,500 m3/h each are used here in the reactor hall. The two valve halls were each equipped with two Free Line units with 70,000 m3/h each.

Area of application: Air conditioning and cooling of the converter station in Dörpen.

Installed devices: Ten supply and exhaust air units in weatherproof design in roof installation for ventilation of the reactor hall, four Free Line units for air conditioning of the reactor halls.

Special features: Painting partly in green according to the building color, DDC and control by HANSA, duct and unit installation by HANSA. Free Line units with integrated refrigeration system.
